Interview with a Graphic Designer
FR

INTRO

As part of my professional studies course, we were asked to interview a designer who inspires us, and I chose Marie-Pier Gilbert from LG2. She was kind enough to show me around the beautiful office and answer all my questions.

MANDATE

After collaborating with our designer to craft the interview layout, we meticulously curated specific examples of our work to showcase during the presentation, ensuring that each piece effectively conveyed our skills, expertise, and unique approach to the task at hand.

RESULT

The approach of basing the layout design on the magnificent LG2 building added a significant visual dimension to the project. Architectural elements, such as space layout and color palette, have been thoughtfully integrated to create an aesthetic that evokes the essence of the professional work environment at LG2.

PROCESS

We had to write and ask our own 20 questions, which was a challenge for me, being a rather reserved person. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it also allowed me to ask questions that intrigued me and that I wanted to ask someone who works professionally, to get their perspective. I also took the opportunity to show him a project I had completed and ask his opinion. The experience was a learning experience as it allowed me to gain direct professional insight and advice from someone established in the design field. Visiting LG2’s office provided significant inspiration for the layout design, incorporating elements that reflect the grandeur and aesthetic of the building.
