INTRO
Crystal mining has become a common hobby and pastime recently. It is done either in public or private mining sites. Mining is portrayed as a group bonding activity, which directed the tone and central ideas when working on this project.
MANDAT
Based on an article from the New York Times, the goal was to convey the journey crystal miners go through and the adventurous aspect of it. To art direct the creation of a handmade piece and the article’s photography.
RESULTAT
The final photo was how we envisioned, portraying all the critical elements of the article and incorporating the teams’ ideas and vision equally.

PROCESSUS
Il y a eu beaucoup d’essais et d’erreurs; aucune planification n’a été strictement respectée tout au long du projet. Il n’y avait qu’une idée vague pour le dernier élément. C’est parce que nous avons tenté de nombreuses approches, comme faire une « maquette » plus miniature, puis la démonter et ajuster les composants à notre goût, en utilisant un logiciel 3D pour visualiser et modifier facilement. Toutes ces tentatives ne pouvaient pas représenter pleinement notre objectif. Par conséquent, nous avons collectivement décidé d’explorer librement et de manière créative en équipe pour intégrer les pensées et les idées de chacun.
